“Even If You Helped Me Get Out Of Prison, I’ll Walk Away If I Catch You Cheating!” — Agradaa Issues Strong Warning To Husband Angel Asiamah

“Even If You Helped Me Get Out Of Prison, I’ll Walk Away If I Catch You Cheating!” — Agradaa Issues Strong Warning To Husband Angel Asiamah

Accra, Ghana – Self-styled Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Mama Pat or Agradaa, has sent shockwaves across social media after boldly declaring that she will not hesitate to walk out of her marriage if she ever catches her husband, Angel Asiamah, cheating on her, even though he played a crucial role in helping her regain freedom from prison.

In a no-nonsense video that has since gone viral on TikTok and Facebook, the former traditional priestess turned evangelist made it emphatically clear that gratitude will never be an excuse for her to tolerate infidelity, disrespect, or betrayal in her marriage.

According to Agradaa, love, loyalty, and faithfulness are non-negotiable, and no amount of support, including helping her out of prison, will give her husband a license to cheat.

AGRADAA SPEAKS: NO EXCUSE FOR CHEATING

Speaking in the viral TikTok video, which was recorded in her usual frank and outspoken style, Agradaa said:

“Even if you helped me get out of prison, if I catch you cheating, I will walk away. I will leave you. I will not stay because you helped me. Helping me does not mean you should now cheat on me or treat me anyhow.”

She stressed that many women stay in toxic marriages because they feel indebted to their husbands for one favour or another – whether it is paying school fees, helping them in business, or standing by them during difficult times. But for her, that is not love, that is emotional slavery.

Agradaa noted that her husband Angel Asiamah has been supportive, especially during her recent legal troubles that led to her incarceration, but she insists that support should not be weaponized as a tool for manipulation or infidelity.

“Your support during my difficult times does not give you the right to cheat on me or to maltreat me. I am grateful, but gratitude is not foolishness. If you cheat, I will leave,” she added.

BACKGROUND: AGRADAA’S PRISON ORDEAL AND HER HUSBAND’S ROLE

It will be recalled that Evangelist Mama Pat, formerly known as Nana Agradaa, was in the news a few months ago over legal issues that led to her being remanded and later sentenced. During that difficult period, her husband Angel Asiamah, who is also a pastor, was seen standing firmly by her, visiting her, and reportedly playing a role in securing legal support for her release.

Many Ghanaians praised Angel Asiamah at the time for not abandoning his wife when she needed him most, with some describing him as a loyal husband.

The couple, who got married in a highly publicized ceremony that trended on social media, have often flaunted their love online, sharing videos of themselves praying together, preaching together, and displaying affection.

However, like many celebrity marriages in Ghana, their union has also been subjected to public scrutiny, with rumours of cracks and disagreements popping up from time to time.

Agradaa’s latest statement has therefore brought their marriage back into public discussion, with many wondering if all is well between them or if she is simply setting boundaries for the future.

“I WILL LEAVE RATHER THAN STAY WHERE TRUST IS BROKEN”

Agradaa further declared in the video that she would rather be single and at peace than remain in a marriage where trust has been broken.

According to her, once a man cheats, the trust that holds the marriage together is gone, and staying in such a marriage only leads to pain, bitterness, and eventually hatred.

“Why should I stay in a marriage where I cannot trust my husband? Marriage is about trust, respect, and loyalty.

Once you break that trust by sleeping with another woman, you have ended the marriage yourself. I will just pack my things and go,” she said.

She advised women to value themselves and not allow society or family pressure to keep them in cheating marriages.

Agradaa, who has been married before and has been open about her past relationships, said she has learned many lessons in life and will not repeat the mistakes of staying where she is not respected.

SOCIAL MEDIA REACTIONS: GHANAIANS DIVIDED

As expected, Agradaa’s bold statement has sparked a heated debate on social media, especially on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.

While some Ghanaians have applauded her for being bold and setting clear boundaries in her marriage, others believe she is being ungrateful to a husband who stood by her during her lowest moment.

One user on TikTok commented: “Agradaa is right. Helping someone does not give you the right to cheat. Cheating is cheating. Gratitude is not a license for infidelity.”

Another user disagreed: “But madam, if your husband helped you get out of prison, that is a huge sacrifice. You should at least forgive him if he cheats and give the marriage another chance. No man is perfect.”

A third user wrote: “This is why I like Agradaa. She says her mind. She is not a hypocrite. If you cheat, you cheat. No amount of good you did before can cancel cheating.”

On Facebook, a group of married women have turned the video into a discussion about self-worth, with many saying they wish they had the courage to walk away from cheating partners.

THE BIG QUESTION: SHOULD GRATITUDE KEEP YOU IN A CHEATING MARRIAGE?

Agradaa’s statement has raised a deeper question that resonates with many homes in Ghana and beyond: Should someone remain in a marriage because their partner helped them through a difficult period, even when infidelity becomes an issue?

In Ghanaian culture, gratitude is highly valued. Many people, especially women, are often told to endure cheating and disrespect because their husbands have done a lot for them or their families. Phrases like “He paid your school fees,” “He helped your family,” or “He stood by you when no one did” are often used to guilt-trip women into staying in toxic marriages.

But a growing number of women, especially younger women, are beginning to challenge that narrative. They argue that gratitude and loyalty should be mutual, and that cheating is a deliberate choice, not a mistake that should be excused because of past good deeds.

Relationship counselors who spoke to http://Kasoanews.com said Agradaa’s position is valid and reflects a healthy sense of self-respect.

“A healthy marriage cannot be built on debt. If one partner feels the other owes them for past help, that is not love, that is control.

Faithfulness is a basic requirement of marriage, regardless of what you have done for your partner,” a counselor based in Kasoa said.

WHO IS AGRADAA?

Patricia Asiedua, known to many as Nana Agradaa and now Evangelist Mama Pat, rose to fame as a traditional priestess in Sowutuom, Accra, where she operated a shrine and claimed to have powers to double money.

In 2021, after several controversies and run-ins with the law, she announced that she had given her life to Christ and was now an evangelist. She founded the Heaven Way Church and has since been preaching, albeit in a style that has kept her in the news for both positive and controversial reasons.

She is married to Pastor Angel Asiamah, and the two have been preaching together and running their ministry.

Despite her conversion, Agradaa has remained one of the most controversial figures in Ghana, known for her outspoken nature and her ability to trend on social media.

FINAL WORDS

Agradaa ended her video by saying every woman should know her worth and never allow any man to take her for granted, no matter how much he has done for her.

Her message was clear: “I appreciate what you did for me, but I will not allow you to cheat on me because of it. If you cheat, I will leave.”

As of the time of filing this report, her husband Angel Asiamah has not publicly responded to his wife’s viral declaration.

What do you think? Do you agree with Agradaa that cheating is a deal-breaker regardless of what a partner has done for you, or do you believe such a marriage should be given another chance because of past support? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
