I Am Responsible For Kennedy Agyapong’s Brain Tumor – Bishop Obinim Drops Bombshell, Says He Spiritually Inflicted Him Leading To Brain Surgery
In a shocking revelation that has left many Ghanaians talking, the founder and General Overseer of the International Godsway Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, popularly known as Angel Obinim, has claimed responsibility for the brain tumor that forced former Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, to undergo a costly brain surgery in the United States.
Bishop Obinim, who was speaking to his congregation during a church service, stated categorically that he spiritually inflicted Kennedy Agyapong with the brain tumor that ultimately forced him to go under the knife.
According to the controversial man of God, the brain tumor was a spiritual payback for the campaign Kennedy Agyapong launched against him years ago.
The video of Bishop Obinim making the claim has since gone viral on social media, sparking massive debate and mixed reactions from Ghanaians both home and abroad.
WHAT OBINIM SAID
Addressing his church members, Bishop Obinim revisited his long-standing feud with Kennedy Agyapong, a feud that shook Ghana in 2020 when Kennedy Agyapong launched a crusade against some Ghanaian pastors he described as fake pastors exploiting Ghanaians.
Bishop Obinim was one of the main targets. Kennedy Agyapong used his NET 2 TV station and Oman FM to expose what he called the dubious activities of Obinim, ranging from alleged infidelity, fake miracles, to alleged involvement in rituals. The campaign eventually led to the arrest of Bishop Obinim in May 2020 by the Ghana Police.
But on Sunday, Obinim told his congregation that he did not take the attack lightly in the spiritual realm.
In his own words, “I am the one responsible for Kennedy Agyapong’s brain tumor. I spiritually planted that tumor in his brain.
He attacked me, disgraced me before the whole world, so I also dealt with him spiritually. That tumor that made him go for surgery costing $283,000 was my doing.”
He added that the tumor was not natural but a spiritual attack to teach Kennedy Agyapong a lesson.
RECALLING KENNEDY AGYAPONG’S BRAIN SURGERY
It would be recalled that Kennedy Agyapong himself publicly revealed in 2020 that he had undergone brain surgery in the United States.
Speaking on his own television station at the time, Kennedy Agyapong explained that he slipped and fell in his bathroom and hit the right side of his head.
He said he suffered continuous headaches for about five days and decided to go for a CT scan.
According to him, the scan revealed a tumor the size of a computer mouse on the left side of his brain that had been there for months and could have become cancerous if not removed.
He said doctors in the US advised him to undergo immediate surgery, which cost him $283,000.
At the time, Kennedy Agyapong denied rumours that he had suffered a stroke. He stated, “I underwent brain tumor surgery; I did not suffer stroke.”
Since his recovery, Kennedy Agyapong has been active in both business and politics, even contesting the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearership race and remaining one of the most outspoken political figures in Ghana.
HISTORY OF OBINIM AND KEN AGYAPONG FEUD
The feud between Bishop Obinim and Kennedy Agyapong is one of the most talked-about pastor-politician clashes in Ghana’s history.
In early 2020, Kennedy Agyapong vowed to expose fake pastors in Ghana. He accused Obinim of being a womanizer, sleeping with church members’ wives, staging fake miracles, and deceiving Ghanaians with angelic claims.
Obinim, on the other hand, initially responded with spiritual threats, claiming he could turn into animals, that he could kill five billion people in one night, and that he could even spiritually change election results.
The battle became so intense that it led to court cases, arrests, and even Obinim’s detention by the BNI at the time.
Later, however, Bishop Obinim made a surprising U-turn. He revealed that he had forgiven Kennedy Agyapong after discovering that they were actually blood relatives.
According to Obinim, his father confirmed that Kennedy Agyapong’s mother was married to his father’s elder brother, making them relatives.
He said, “To my astonishment, I learned that Kennedy Agyapong and I are indeed blood relatives. My father confirmed it. So I forgave him. Even when his father died, I was the first to announce it.”
After that reconciliation, many thought the feud was over. But this new claim that he caused Kennedy’s brain tumor has reopened old wounds.
GHANAIANS REACT
Since the video dropped, social media has been on fire.
Some members of Obinim’s church believe him and see his claim as proof of his spiritual power. One church member was heard shouting “Power! Angel is powerful!” in the video.
However, many Ghanaians, especially supporters of Kennedy Agyapong, have described the claim as false, dangerous, and an attempt to seek attention.
A political analyst in Kasoa told http://Kasoanews.com that such claims should not be taken lightly.
“This is a serious claim. If someone claims responsibility for afflicting another person with a disease, even spiritually, the police should take interest.
Ghana is a country governed by law, not spiritual threats,” he said.
Others have also questioned the timing of Obinim’s claim, noting that Kennedy Agyapong is currently in the news and preparing for political activities ahead of 2028.
WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY?
In Ghana, it is not a crime to claim you spiritually caused someone’s illness, but making public claims that could incite fear, panic, or threaten the life of another person can attract police attention.
Legal experts say if Kennedy Agyapong feels threatened, he can report the matter to the police for investigation.
As of the time of filing this report, Kennedy Agyapong has not yet responded to Bishop Obinim’s latest claim.

http://Kasoanews.com has not independently verified that Bishop Obinim indeed caused the medical condition of Kennedy Agyapong, and the medical cause of Kennedy Agyapong’s brain tumor remains as previously explained by him – a natural medical condition diagnosed by doctors.
