Ghanaians have up to 15 days as public holidays for the year 2024.
The holidays have been announced by the Ministry of Interior.
The exact dates for 13 of the Holidays are known however those for our Muslim brothers and sisters will be determined when they are drawing closer.
Ready, Ghanaians have enjoyed the New Year holiday on the 1st of January as well as Constitution Day on the 7th of January, 2024.
March brings patriotic fervor with Independence Day, followed by the solemn observance of Good Friday and joyous Easter Monday.
May Day (Workers’ Day) allows us to honour the backbone of our nation, while Farmer’s Day in December celebrates the heroes who nourish us. Of course, December wouldn’t be complete without the merriment of Christmas and Boxing Day.
Don’t forget, that two important Islamic holidays, Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha, will also grace the calendar, their dates announced by the Office of the Chief Imam later in the year.
While not official holidays, African Union Day and Republic Day are also significant occasions to commemorate Pan-African unity and Ghanaian independence.
