Meanwhile the Business mogul has alleged that, before he picked the nomination form, there were some consultations and that he has being receiving calls from the national and local party executives, some are from his own camp and others from his opponent side to allow Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor to go unopposed.
But to him he doesn’t understand why they should allow Hon. John Jinapor to go unopposed. He said he’s from the constituency and has worked hard for the constituency, so it is time he contest for the parliamentary seat.
According Hon. Mumumi Iddisah the constituents have made several complaints to him about the abysmal performance of the sitting member of Parliament and that he should come and change things for better but he’s confused now.
“I’ve received many calls from our party’s top and down executives not contest Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor, I have served the party so well and I think it’s time for me to stand for member of Parliament, some constituents have made complaints to me about the abysmal performance of the incumbent mp.. I’m confused now”

Yapei-Kusawgu is one of the constituencies represented in the Parliament of Ghana.
The constituency is located in the Savannah Region of Ghana.
The current member of Parliament for the constituency is Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor. He was elected on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and won a majority of 145 votes more than candidate closest in the race, to win the constituency election to become the MP.
Hon. John Jinapor succeeded Alhaji Seidu Amadu who had represented the constituency in the 4th Republican parliament on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress.
