Speaking in a recent interview with blogger Zionfelix, the award-winning musician explained that public scrutiny often makes it hard for celebrities to wear the same outfit more than once.

Wendy Shay revealed that as a public figure, the pressure to maintain a polished image is immense, especially because fans and critics alike closely observe what celebrities wear.
“It’s really hard to repeat clothes as an artist or celebrity because fans tend to criticise you. Sometimes, they make it seem like you don’t have enough resources or aren’t doing well financially. Fans have a way of pointing out when you repeat clothes, and it can attract unnecessary trolling or negative comments,” she remarked.
The “Survivor” hitmaker further noted that in today’s social media-driven world, where pictures and videos are constantly shared and archived, the outfits celebrities wear are immediately noticed and compared. She added that sometimes she mixes her clothes up to not make it too obvious that she is repeating it.
