In an Eid-ul-Fitr message to Ghanaians, the Vice President sought to calm rumours circulating about her by assuring the public of her good health.
The statement began with a goodwill message to Muslims, who are celebrating the end of their 30-day Ramadan fast with the Eid.
“On this blessed occasion, I extend my warmest wishes to you and your families. Your dedication, values, and contributions enrich our nation and the world,” the Veep’s statement, addressed to the Muslim community, said.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang concluded her statement by offering her gratiude for all the well wishes she’d received following her hospitalization.
The Presidency revealed in a statement on Sunday, March 30, that the Vice President had been hospitalized at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on Saturday after she suddenly fell ill on Friday.
The statement concluded by revealing the Veep will be traveling abroad for further medical treatment.
