In her post, Hilda expressed her grief, revealing that Irisoanga had gone to be with the Lord. She reflected on the loss, saying, “Our uncle Coli @colu_mbusirisoanga has gone to be with the Lord. Ikoli eh dein na mu. There can’t be shortage of Angels in heaven that the few here are called home like this na! This one is heavy on Uniport Rivers State Nollywood.”
Dr. Irosanga was not only a respected senior lecturer in Theatre Arts at the University of Port Harcourt, but he also became a household name for his legendary role as the fearsome chief priest, Igbudu, in the 2001 Nollywood hit Issakaba 2. His powerful performance earned him a lasting place in the hearts of movie lovers.
Beyond his iconic role in Issakaba 2, Dr. Irosanga appeared in many other films, including Agbako, Dog Meeting, Ojadike, Clash of Native Doctors, Selina Tested, and Elders at War. His legacy in Nollywood and his contributions to academia will continue to be remembered and cherished.
