Adumtwuwaa, speaking on United Showbiz on UTV, said considering Ja Rule’s status, the end product delivered to Ghanaians is underwhelming.
The media personality pointed to Michael Blackson’s school as a school that matches the status of the artist behind it. Adumtwumwaa said when comparing the legacies of Blackson and Ja Rule, the latter is far more legendary; yet, his school came off looking worse.
She pointed to the school’s unfinished ceiling as a great example of the things wrong with the project.
The United Showbiz panelist said Ghanaians criticizing the project are not being ungrateful but simply expressing surprise that such a building came from someone of Ja Rule’s stature.
The American rapper/crooner recently visited Ghana to help inaugurate a 6-unit classroom block he constructed for the Nuaso St John’s Anglican School. He has received praise for his actions but criticism from some quarters, particularly for the school’s look and architecture, which has been described as archaic.
