Bohne, 13, has been left orphaned following a tragic and traumatizing shooting in River Ridge involving her family.
Per multiple reports, Glenn Bohne, 46, the patriarch of the family, shot and killed his wife, Dung Pham, 40, as well as their two year old girl, Amy Bohne, in a tragic incident that occurred at their single-story home in the 10000 block of Stephen Drive, near Mary Lane on Saturday, January 18.
He also reportedly shot both of his other daughters. One girl, 9, was rushed to Children’s Hospital in critical condition while the 13-year-old, Tien, called 911 and informed deputies of the ongoing shooting.
Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on the scene not long after the 911 call and initiated a search for Glenn Bohne. He was shot and killed after attempting to pull a weapon on a deputy.
Sheriff Joe Lopinto, speaking following the Bohne’s death, said officials are yet to determine why the man decided to attempt taking out his entire family in such a manner. Neighbors said they was no signs such a disaster was coming.
Archbishop Chappelle announced the prayer session for Tien Bohne in a statement reacting to the shooting.
“The entire Archbishop Chapelle High School community is deeply saddened by the tragic events that occurred tis morning,” the statement said. ” In solidarity with the outpouring of support from other church communities, Chappelle will hold a prayer service for 8th grader Tien Bohne and her family on the day we return to school,”
