Grey’s death was announced by her Retirement House co-stars in a video shared to their various social media accounts.

“We have some sad news for you,” the assembled stars of the show say in the video which has already gone viral on Tiktok, Instagram, and Facebook. “Our dearly beloved friend, Reatha Rose Grey, has passed away. You may remember her as the hilarious grandma Rose on Retirement House, but we remember her as a member of our family,”
Grey was one of six actors who starred for the Retirement House Tiktok account. The account followed all six older actors as they parodied the trend of young content creators living in a home and filming social media content throughout the day.
Their content is immensely popular, having amassed 5.6m followers and over 150m likes on Tiktok alone. The account has large followings on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube as well, with almost 2m followers on Instagram alone and half a million on Facebook. Reatha, who has also appeared Betty White’s Off their Rockers, was a bit of a fan favorite with news of her death hitting fans hard.
“R.I.P Grandma Rose ❤️❤️❤️You definitely did it your way!! Rest in love,” said one user on Tiktok.
Another user wrote on Instagram: “No no noooooo!!! Omg!!!! I’m so sorry.. sending all the love hugs and prayers to you all and her family.. Granny Rose you will be missed dearly.. keep shining down on us.. I’m in real life tears,”
Rose was hilarious, thoughtful and loved meeting people, her co-stars said in their tribute. “You have to grab that bull by its horns and take it down,” was Rose’s mantra, and she lived life by that philosophy. May she rest in peace.
