According to him, he came to the conclusion after witnessing the lack of enthusiasm their campaign was generating ahead of the polls, which told him that Ghanaians were fed up with the NPP.
Speaking during an interview on Nhyira FM in Kumasi, the former Minister of Parliamentary Affairs said the lack of enthusiasm was particularly evident during the early part of the campaign.
He said they were able to generate a bit more enthusiasm which even ended up making their loss look a bit better. Mensah-Bonsu said if the elections had been held in August, the NPP would have lost by an even worser margin than the infamous 38.2% that people use to troll them.
