“My exposés have saved this country millions of dollars,” Ablakwa said. “If we don’t remain vigilant and call out financial irregularities, Ghana will continue to lose valuable resources that could be used for development.”

He highlighted instances where his investigations led to the cancellation of questionable government contracts and prevented unnecessary spending. Ablakwa dismissed accusations that his actions were politically motivated, stressing that his focus has always been on the interests of the Ghanaian people.
“I don’t engage in these exposés for personal or political gain,” he stated. “My goal is to ensure that the country’s resources are used wisely and not wasted on shady deals.”
Ablakwa assured the committee that, if approved, he would bring the same level of transparency and scrutiny to his role as Foreign Affairs Minister. He pledged to ensure Ghana’s embassies and diplomatic missions operate efficiently and are held accountable.
“I will continue to stand for integrity and accountability,” he concluded. “Ghana’s foreign service must reflect these values, ensuring we serve our people and protect the country’s reputation internationally.”
