Otoo took to X (formerly Twitter) to vent, expressing all her emotions by sharing only a short, two-word sentence, ‘Monkey worked,’.
Social media users immediately decoded her post, which is a reference to the saying, ‘monkey dey work, baboon dey chop’, meaning one person works hard for another to enjoy.
The post, coming soon after the announcement of Joselyn Dumas’ appointment as Deputy Director for Diaspora Affairs, was thought to be related to that.
Bridget Otoo was a persistent thorn in the flesh of the former New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, fighting them on different issues on social media.
She is thought to have played a crucial role in exposing the previous government’s rot leading to them being kicked out.
However, despite all her hard work, Otoo is yet to receive any acknowledgement while a lot of celebs, most of whom played far less influential roles, are getting appointments.
