Twene Jonas declared his stance based on one policy that made him extremely happy, the declaration by the President that government appointees are barred from traveling first-class.
According to Jonas, that policy alone will save Ghana millions of cedis every weekend and is very laudable. Jonas said that the money saved can remain in the country and be used for the benefit of Ghanaians.
Jonas revealed that he has been meeting New York City officials taking the subway yet Ghanaian officials are also wasting taxpayer money traveling around in massive convoys and flying first class.
He added that the only thing that can derail the Mahama government is the expected power crisis so they President should work hard to solve it before it happens.

Jonas’ rant is in relation to a new directive from President John Dramani Mahama calling for public officials to stop flying first class around the world.
The President announced that the move is part of cost-cutting measures to improve the dire financial situation the country is currently in.
