Kelsey delivered baby no.3, a girl with husband Tyler Bourdon, on January 20th at the Elkhart General Hospital where she worked as a nurse. According to Tyler, she developed swelling in her brain, suffered a seizure and tragically died around 2 p.m. on Friday, January 24.

“Kelsey had elected to be a donor every year since she got her license and they will be holding a donor hero walk sometime tomorrow at EGH which I’m told is starting from ICU waiting room (elevator G) and ending at the ER entrance,” Tyler said.
The hero walk occurred Saturday and was shared by Elkhart General Hospital staff who praised Kelsey not only for being a great nurse but her selflessness even after death.
Kelsey and husband Tyler had two elder boys before the birth of baby no.3. Funeral and memorial information are yet to be released by the family.
