Speaking during a visit to Nigeria, during which he met with some members of the Ghanaian diaspora, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu said he has been in touch with the Vice President and is confident that she is well on her way to recovery.
Ablakwa called on Ghanaians to ignore the barrage of propaganda from the NPP which claims she’s seriously sick or even on her deathbed. Some have gone as far as to claim that the Vice President is deceased while a prominent NPP operative like Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah claimed the Veep suffered a stroke.
Ablakwa dismissed all these and said the Vice President is healthy and well. He thanked Ghanaians for their prayers for the Vice President, indicating it helped in getting her back to help.
Ghana’s 73-year-old Vice President fell ill close to a fortnight ago following a day of work. She was transported to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) for treatment and was later transported abroad based on expert medical opinion.
