In a selfless gesture, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, CEO of Engineers & Planners Ltd. and Dzata Cement, voiced his worry and consented to pay for journalist Kofi Adomah’s eye surgery in Dubai.

On January 22, 2025, broadcaster Nana Yaa Brefo disclosed this touching deed of generosity on the Yen Nsempa Morning Show on Onua FM.
However, there has been a lack of transparency and confusion about whether Mr. Mahama has actually kept his word.
According to reports, an amount of $115,000 was transferred directly from Mr. Ibrahim Mahama’s bank account to Kofi Adoma’s wife Miracle Adoma’s personal bank account at Ecobank East Legon branch at the end of January 2025.
The money is meant to help pay for Kofi Adomah’s medical bills which was caused by a shooting accident.Mahama’s kind donation is a part of a larger initiative to help Adomah pay for the several procedures he will need to have to have his vision restored.
Recall that a few months ago, Kofi was accidentally shot in the eye while covering the Dormaa Kwafie Festival in the Bono Region. This has forced him to undergo several surgical procedures to restore his eyesight.
