I Won’t Vote This Year, The Empty Promises Are Too Much – Akwaboah
Akwaboah has said that he does not see the need to join a long queue to vote in the December 7 election.
This comes after the vice president of Ghana, Mr. Bawumiah spoke to the people of Ghana to present before them his vision when allowed to become the president of Ghana.
The vice president said that when given the nod, he would make sure the progress of the country and the comfortability of the people became a promise he would wish to keep.
Reacting to this, Akwaboah has said that this is an empty promise so he is not tickled by the words of the vice president.
He said not only the vice president but also the promises of the former president, John Mahama, among the other candidates were empty promises.
Akwaboah said he did not vote in the 2020 general election and he does not believe he would vote in this year’s election either.
Akwaboah said this while speaking on Accra 100.5 FM’s midmorning show, Ayekoo Ayekoo, on Thursday, February 8, 2024, which was monitored by Ghbase.com.
The “Obiaa” hitmaker said that he is sick and tired of the lies that have been wrapped around the word politics.
According to Akwaboah, the politicians in Ghana ride in their luxury cars in a quest to seek the thumbprint of Ghanaians but after they are given the nod, instead of putting the light on the hill so that everyone will have a sight to a fruitful life, they keep it under the bushel and delight in seeing their people fall in the darkness.
“We’ve heard these promises endlessly. It’s not just him.
