Speaking in a recent interview with Emelia Brobbey on Okukuseku TV, the young actress revealed that instead of receiving comfort during her time of grief, she was accused of being responsible for her mother’s death.

According to Maame Serwaa, the most painful part was that some of the people making these accusations were those closest to her. She described the emotional toll it took on her, admitting that the pain and false allegations nearly pushed her to the brink of taking her own life.
“I was already devastated when my mother passed away, but the accusations broke me even more. What hurt the most was that some of the people pointing fingers at me were people I trusted,” she revealed tearfully.
She also reflected on how her mother’s passing significantly changed her life. Her mother had been her biggest support system, taking her to auditions and guiding her career from a young age. Losing her not only left an emotional void but also forced her to navigate the industry alone.
Maame Serwaa further disclosed that before her mother’s passing, she had reassured her that she wasn’t going to die anytime soon but would live to carry her grandchildren—a promise that tragically never came true.
