Speaking in a recent interview, she said her relationship with UTV started due to her taking her cooking show to the channel to be aired.
Narrating her history, McBrown said she had already developed the McBrown’s Kitchen show and was shopping it around to get a network to air it for her.
Eventually, she reached a deal with UTV, who started airing the show.
McBrown said since they’re all family at Despite Media, there was a day she was just sitting around with Fadda Dickson and other management members when an idea was brought for her to host another show.
She said it was then that they conceptualized the United Showbiz that everyone came to love in the past few years.
As we all know, despite its wholesome beginnings, the show did not last as McBrown eventually left UTV, joining Media General’s Onua TV, where she now hosts Showtime with Nana Ama McBrown.
