“People say I have six wives; others say five. When did I marry all these women without even knowing?” he questioned, expressing frustration over the falsehoods. He recalled an incident at his mother’s funeral where a female friend was mistaken for the mother of his first daughter, highlighting how easily misinformation spreads.
Dr. Oteng also spoke about the emotional toll these rumors take on him. “Sometimes I hear these lies, and I’m stunned. About 98% of what’s said about me is false. But I choose not to respond because if you fight your own fight, God won’t fight for you.”
He believes the main reason people spread false information about him is because he rarely speaks publicly. “I own several radio stations, yet I hardly speak on air. That’s why people make up stories about me, knowing I won’t defend myself.”
He also criticized individuals who profit from spreading lies about him online. “There are people who can’t even afford toothpaste to brush their teeth but will sit online and insult you. It’s painful. They use my name to gain attention and make money.”
By speaking out, Dr. Kwaku Oteng has finally set the record straight and urged the public to be more responsible with the information they share.
