“I don’t see the need to go to church,” she stated. “I don’t see the benefit of waking up on a Sunday or any other day just to go to church.”
When asked if she believes in God, GH Mouthpiece boldly affirmed her faith, saying, “I believe in God; He is my ‘juju.’ People often accuse me of doing juju, but my ‘juju’ is God. He’s the reason I am who I am today.”
Addressing the question of not attending church despite her belief in God, she added, “Who says the place you’re going to is the house of God? The church of God is your body, and your mindset is God’s house. God said the body is His temple; He didn’t say it was built anywhere. The church building is just a meeting place, but the real temple of God is within us.”
She went on to criticize some practices in modern churches, comparing them to marketplaces. “Churches today are even more than markets. That’s where they sell expensive anointing oils, creams, stickers, and other accessories,” she said.
GH Mouthpiece also opened up about her personal experience, which led her to stop attending church. She explained that her decision stemmed from feeling rejected and unfairly treated by church members.
“I used to be an usher and a chorister in my church. After a wedding, something went missing, and they wanted to blame me for it. I was punished for a sin I didn’t commit and was demoted in the church. It was heartbreaking because the church, a place where I was supposed to feel love and care, became a source of pain,” she recounted.
