An Internet sensation who doubles as the Guinness World Record sing-a-thon attemptee, Afua Asantewaa has replied to the Guinness World Record following the latter’s decision to disqualify her.
In a post sighted by Ghbase.com on the official Twitter page of the Guinness World Record, they said ‘Unfortunately, Afua’s Guinness World Record attempt for the longest singing marathon was not successful, but we hope that she will make another attempt soon.
We have seen how inspirational it has been for her fans.
The evidence check had already begun before Afua requested a priority service, so we refunded her payment earlier this month. We wish Afua the best of luck with any future record attempt”.
Afua Asantewaa claims after getting to know that GWR has disqualified her, she is not disturbed at all, saying that she has moved on and focusing on other important things.
The internet sensation has said that even though she was unable to be the record holder for the Longest Singing Marathon, she is still proud of herself.
According to her, apart from the fact that she is the only female to attempt the longest singing marathon, she is the only one who completed it successfully without having health-related issues.
The brand ambassador for Ike City Hotel said during a live Tiktok video Kasoanews.com monitored that she has witnessed many occasions where people who tried to break the record of the longest singing marathon were rushed to the hospital after their attempt.
In her live video, the Guinness World Record sing-a-thon attemptee warned Ghanaians and those mocking her to shut up because if given the chance, they would not be able to stand on their feet for about 5 minutes.
“If the outcome is not favorable, I will move and not be perturbed at all.
Because I am proud that I’m the only female to have ever attempted sing-a-thon and completed it”, Afua Asantewaa said.
Adding that “There was a man who attempted sing-a-thon and was rushed to the hospital the following day.
Those wishing me bad luck, if you are asked to stand on your feet for five minutes your family would buy a coffin for you. enough of the criticisms.”
