Agyapong made the donation to various Muslim communities as they celebrated breaking their fast after the holy month of Ramadan.
The donations included 336 bags of 50kg rice and 500 bags of 5kg rice.
Speaking during the donation, Agyapong laid out his ties to the Islamic community, revealing half of his family are Muslims.
Agyapong revealed he recently lost one of his Muslim uncles whose funeral he missed due to prior commitments.
The former Member of Parliament for Assin Central is on a donation blitz since returning to Ghana after a short stay in the United States for legal and other reasons.
A few days previously, Agyapong donated Ghc 100,000 plus 200 streetlights intended to light up the Railways area and its surrounding environs.
The moves are seen as an early indication from Agyapong to stake his claim to be the leader of the NPP going forward as the party prepares to wrestle back power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2028.
