In numerous posts and tweets, Ghanaians are proving to be in a bullish mood, with posts and memes about the victory.
Sports journalist Saddick Adams, in a viral tweet, called for Brazil to come and face this new-look, deadly Black Stars. Others called the victory ‘Chad’ abuse.
The Ghana Black Stars beat the Chadian national team by 5 goals to nil in their Round 5 qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium Friday.
Ghana got an early lead through Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, before goals from Inaki Williams, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Salisu, and Ernest Nuamah sealed the deal.
The victory sent the 40,000 fans at the stadium into jubilation with Ghanaians all over the country and on social media joining into the fan.
Ghana now leads qualifying Group I with 12 points from 5 games, ahead of Madagascar, who have 10 points. The two meet Monday in Morocco in a game that could decide who is the frontrunner for qualification to the World Cup in the U.S.A, Mexico, and Canada next year.
