Ghanaians Angrily Break Silence After Mahama Asked Them To Fast And Pray For Him As He Resume Office
Ghanaians have reacted massively after the president elect John Dramani Mahama called on them to fast and pray due to the difficult task ahead.
Apparently, President-elect John Dramani Mahama urged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Ghanaians as a whole to deepen their prayers as Ghana faces significant challenges ahead. He stressed that the path to rebuilding the nation will require divine guidance, wisdom, and strength.
In his address, Mahama noted that while the campaign season called for intense prayers, the current circumstances demand even more fervent supplication.
“Now is the time to pray harder than we did during the campaign, asking God for the strength and wisdom to implement the measures that will improve life in Ghana. I assure you, it is finished; God has already taken care of it,” he said.
Mahama recognized the tough situation in the country, blaming it on what he referred to as traps laid by the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) government. Nevertheless, he expressed optimism about overcoming these hurdles with divine assistance.
“The NPP government has set a trap for us, but we will not fall into it; we will emerge unscathed. The Almighty God, who granted us electoral victory, will guide us through the challenges ahead until we achieve success,” Mahama declared.
Reacting to the president elect John Dramani Mahama’s statement, Ghanaians have backlashed him. According to them, if fasting and prayer is what it takes to be president, they would have voted for GUM. Check out some comments from Ghanaians below;
