Ghana Decides 2024 – Voting Officially starts
The 2024 general elections is underway as Ghanaians vote to decide their next president and parliamentarian for the next four years.
In total 18 million registered voters are set to decide the nation’s next president and the structure of the 275-member Parliament.

In total, 12 candidates are vying for the presidency, with the front runners being the NPP’s Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, NDC’s John Mahama, Nana Kwame Bediako, and Alan Kyeremanten.

Polling stations across the country particularly in Accra have seen a massive voter turnout ahead of today’s polls, with some constituents of the Odododiodio constituency, queuing up as early as 9pm last night.

John Dramani Mahama – National Democratic Congress (NDC)
Dr. Hassan Ayariga – All People’s Congress (APC)
Kofi Akpaloo – Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG)
Henry Augustus Lartey – Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP)
Christian Kwabena Andrews – Ghana Union Movement
Mohammed Frimpong – National Democratic Party
Nana Akosua Frimpomaa Kumankuma – Convention People’s Party
Kofi Koranteng – Independent candidate
George Twum-Barima-Adu – Independent candidate
Nana Kwame Bediako – Independent candidate
Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen – Independent candidate
