Broadcast journalist and general manager of EIB Network, Nana Aba Anamoah has sent a piece of advice to girls.
Speaking in an interview on 3FM TV which was monitored by Kasoanews.com, the broadcast has advised Ghanaian ladies not to exchange sex for job opportunities.
The media personality has said that evil bedeviling acts should not be tolerated by Ghanaian girls.
Nana Aba Anamoah is of the view that even though when a lady sleeps with a man, it would be very difficult for another to see until they are being told, however, it is so wrong for a lady to do that because that is their dignity.
“It’s just that some men think that is how they can exhibit power…If you are a young girl and you are caught up in that situation, I’ll say to you, do not have sex with a man,” Nana Aba Anamoah said.
She encouraged girls to have sex with men or guys they love and have feelings for and not because they are doing it to get a job opportunity.
“One girl told me if ‘I have sex with a man it’s not written on my forehead, nobody will know’. Yes, but it is your dignity. If you want to have sex with a man, have sex with a man but not because there is an opportunity at stake, that is your self-esteem gone,” she added.
She however said that she does not blame the girls who engaged in certain acts but the men who hold high positions in Ghana because sometimes, these men would see that a lady is competent enough for a particular job but would still want to get into their pants before given them the opportunity they rightly deserve.
“It is not their fault…if you say watch ‘how you carry yourself’ then you are apportioning some blame to the young women.
There is an insane man who thinks that ‘this girl, even though she is competent, must get into her pants before she gets the job.’ So it is not the young woman’s fault,” she said.
“Of course, you will be confronted with so many challenges that at that point you need the job and the money…
However I want to tell every young woman that exchanging sex for a job is not the way to go,” she concluded.
