A viral post on Facebook from the page ‘Back the Badge Wisconsin’ which is the source of this death hoax alleges that the Duck Dynasty star has died. The post declared with confidence: “Duck Dynasty’s Uncle Si has passed today. He was 78 years young,”

The news appears to emanate from a recent hunting accident that Uncle Si had which kept him from appearing on a recent taping of the Duck Call Room podcast.
The news broke that he had suffered an accident and was hospitalized and Back the Badge Wisconsin appears to have taken the facts from that point and run with it.
Luckily, the followers of that page themselves did not let the false info that Uncle Si had passed away slide.
The top rated comment on the page reads: “He was treated and released…may want to verify stuff before you post false info,”
Another commenter said: “I’m tired of the fake information this page puts out, research your information before posting it,”
Meanwhile, according to his ‘Duck Call Room podcast’ co-hosts Phillip McMillan and Justin Martin, Si Robertson is recuperating after his recent hunting accident.
The accident occurred when the group returned to the boat house following a hunting trip.
“Anyway, typical Silas Robertson, in a big dang hurry to get out of the boat and into the Polaris… he fell trying to get out of the boat. Just on the bank there.” said Justin.
He continued: “”If you don’t go off the nose of the boat like the very nose, you will fall. I know this because I have fallen right there,”
Four years ago, Uncle Si had to debunk similar rumors of his death, recording a fiery video to hit back at the rumors.
No reponse from Uncle Si has been recorded this time but there’s no doubt one is coming very soon – once he’s back on his feet.

He is best known for his role on A&E’s Duck Dynasty and has also appeared on Outdoor Channel’s Buck Commander and The Duckmen of Louisiana. As mentioned earlier, he also co-hosts the Duck Call Room podcast.
