Healy’s death occurred while bringing her baby Olivia into the world, the fundraiser said. Catherine’s husband, Patrick, is the beneficiary of the fundraiser.
“Catherine was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend. She had an incredible spirit and was always there for others with a smile and a helping hand. Her love for her family was boundless, and her passing has left an irreplaceable void,” said John Setlak of Elmhurst IL, the organizer of this GoFundMe.
Setlak said they were raising funds to help Patrick cope with the loss of his wife, offset costs of taking care of a newborn and an upcoming funeral he had not anticipated. Setlak said helping Patrick financially will ensure he can focus on healing and bonding with his child.
The fundraiser, at the time of publication of this piece, had raised over $130,000 of its $200,000 goal.
Catherine Healy (née Holbrook) was a real estate agent with The Matt Laricy Group, a division of Americorp Real Estate. She grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago and graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a major in Marketing and a minor in Spanish. She had worked with Americorp real estate for close to 12 years, starting in March 2013.
“Catherine prides herself on extraordinary client service, market knowledge, negotiating ability, and accessibility for the client,” her bio on her official website read. “She provides the highest quality service to her clients through knowledge and honesty treating every transaction as if it were her own,”
Husband Patrick, on the other hand, reportedly volunteers as a coach at lifetough and is a boxing training partner of Steve Linder, who shared the fundraiser. A Meal Train was also started for the family.
