According to the traders, they need cement to rebuild their stores and not rice and oil, which they have no use for.
Honourable Muntaka, who is the Member of Parliament for Asawase in the Ashanti Region, visited the affected traders with a truckload of aid to be presented to them.
However, the traders rejected the aid, stating they are not refugees to be brought oil and rice.
According to them, what they need is cement and building materials to enable them to rebuild their burnt-down stores.
A video of the moment hit social media and has sparked wild reactions.
One user slammed the traders for not being smart enough, writing: “Get the groceries, give thanks for it and then ask for cement too. Simple!!”
