According to him, a disproportionately large percentage of Ghana’s population engages in betting, which is destroying the lives of a large number of them.
Blakk Rasta said betting should be banned to protect lives.
According to him, most young people engage in ‘chance’ rather than believing in scientific principles to guide their lives. Blakk Rasta said that mentality is dangerous and inhibits development.
His comments come ahead of an expected repeal of the betting tax which is a 10% tax on all winnings bettors in Ghana enjoy.
The tax was introduced by the previous NPP administration and during their campaign, the NDC pledged to repeal it.
However, many people have called for the tax to be left in place. Blakk Rasta however, has called for betting to be banned completely.
