Kwame Asare Obeng, better known as A Plus, has hit back at Justin Kodua Frimpong, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), after Kodua denied that the NPP had approached him. Social media users have slammed outgoing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over his decision to pardon some hardened criminals before he leaves office. In one of his final acts as President, Nana Addo handed out pardons to several individuals, including William Ato Essien, the former CEO of Capital Bank. Essien was jailed for embezzling bailout funds the Bank of Ghana made available to the then-struggling bank and later failing to refund it. Controversial media personality, Afia Schwarzenegger has slammed the first lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, for exploding at the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, and attacking him in the aftermath of the State of the Nation address. The first lady had lost her temper after the Deputy minority leader, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, took President Akufo-Addo to the cleaners in his remarks responding to the SOTU. Powell, who operates the world-renowned Powell fitness gym in Greensboro, passed in the morning of Sunday, January 5, 2025, according to the Masters Fitness Championship, who among others, announced the loss. William Powell was a 3 time CrossFit Games Champion. His wins came in 2014, 2015 and 2016. A year after his 2016 triumph, he was diagnosed with a tumor on his left lung. In a self-recorded video, a Ga lady called on Oko Vanderpuije to reclaim the Katamanto lands, that they belong to the Ga people, not the traders who have shown nothing but disrespect.
