Nico Goon, a 2024 graduate of the Bishop Manogue Catholic High School in Reno NV, has died, his family announced. Details of Goon’s death are currently unavailable. A celebration of life is planned for January 11th at the Grace Church at 1220 Robb Drive in Reno. A scholarship fund is set to be established in Goon’s name. Reno Goon attended Bishop Manogue from 2020 through 2024. He played varsity football as an offensive and defensive lineman. The Hauppauge Public School is mourning the loss of a beloved fourth grade teacher, Lara Damadeo. Damadeo, with the Bretton Woods Elementary School, has died after a 24 year career in Hauppauge. The former Hauppauge High School grad died in recent days, Hauppauge Public School District announced in a statement signed by Dr. Donald Murphy, the Superintendent of Schools. William Yost, an Altadena resident has been identified as one of the two people killed in a wrong-way crash on the 134 freeway in Pasadena. A wrong-way crash in Pasadena on Sunday, January 5, led to the deaths of two people. The multi-vehicle crash occurred around 8:10 a.m. on the westbound 134 at North San Rafael Avenue in Pasadena.
