Asante Kotoko Returns to Ghana Without Two Sudanese Players
Asante Kotoko’s contingent returned to Ghana without two Sudanese players.
The players, Esmat AbdalHamid Mohamed and Obdoelkarem Yoouef Yagoub, left their hotel in Springfield, Virginia, on Friday before the team’s final training for the Capital City Cup.
The club reported the incident to the Fairfax County Police, who are investigating the players’ whereabouts.
The players contacted the club, stating they were visiting family in the USA
Ghanaian Sports journalist, Seidu Adamu noted that the players left their travel bags with the Sudan National Team to be sent home.
They traveled to the USA with only their playing kits and a few clothes, as everything was planned in Kumasi.
As of now, the two players have not returned to the team.
